Amigos de la Convivencia Deportiva y Cultural es una organización social sin animo de lucro que trabaja para transformar la vida de niños, niñas y adolescentes en situación de vulnerabilidad en las comunidades de la ciudad de Cartagena en Colombia. A través de actividades deportivas, artísticas y culturales, como danza folclórica, teatro y pintura, ofrecemos un espacio seguro donde los jóvenes desarrollan su creatividad, habilidades y valores como el respeto, la convivencia y el trabajo en equipo. Además, brindamos apoyo académico con tareas dirigidas y refuerzos escolares, y ofrecemos apoyo psicológico mediante talleres y atención personalizada para fortalecer la salud emocional de nuestros beneficiarios.

Winning project of the "Share what we are 2020" call Supported by the Ministry of Culture through the "Share what we are 2020" call, this project aimed to offer children and adolescents from sectors of the Nelson Mandela neighborhood a virtual course on the most representative dances of the Caribbean region of Colombia. Through this initiative, we seek to provide a space for recreation, alleviate tensions caused by the pandemic and promote knowledge about Caribbean culture.

Mandela's roots

Winning project of the "Share what we are 2021" call Supported by the Ministry of Culture, this project aimed to develop a folk dance and theatre course aimed at children and adolescents. As a result, a work was produced and disseminated that tells the history of the neighborhood, creating a space for reflection on assertive methods for conflict resolution. The initiative favored social cohesion, promoted the recognition of community values and strengthened cultural appropriation, thus contributing to the path towards peace.

In the heart of Mandela

Winning project in 2022 Within the framework of the call "Open doors to inclusive theater for the circulation of artists in the Adolfo Mejía theater", organized by the IPCC, this project aimed to generate a space for reflection on the history of the Nelson Mandela neighborhood, promoting the recognition of the values of the community. As part of this initiative, the play "In the heart of Mandela", created in 2021, was brought to the emblematic Adolfo Mejía Theater, offering the citizens of Cartagena a unique cultural experience.

With dance we move forward

Project developed in 2023 Supported by ICULTUR's "Estímulos 2023" call for proposals, this project consisted of an in-person course aimed at children and adolescents on the most representative dances of the Caribbean region of Colombia. Through this initiative, the aim was to strengthen cultural traditions and values, while promoting a sense of belonging to the Caribbean identity.

In the heart of Mandela

Winning project in the "Adolfo Mejía Theatre Season 2024" call Thanks to the IPCC's "Adolfo Mejía Theatre Season 2024" call, this project allowed the presentation of the play "In the Heart of Mandela" in 2024. The play, starring children and adolescents from the Nelson Mandela neighborhood, tells, through artistic expressions such as dance and theater, the story of resilience and overcoming of their community.
